In pursuit of quality control, the Nursa App allows an individual facility to ban a clinician from seeing or requesting shifts at your building. We hope that this feature is used as a last resort and you are happy with each clinician experience you gain from utilizing the Nursa App, but we understand that may not always be the case. If you wish to block an individual clinician from seeing and requesting shifts at your facility, you can accomplish this in two different ways.
First let's undress how to unban a clinician -
Undoing a clinician ban/block
At this time the only way to unban a clinician and allow them to begin making requests at your facility once again is to contact Nursa Support and a the request the specific clinician be unbanned.
Remove a scheduled clinician and ban them from future shift visibility/requests
If the shift is currently scheduled to a clinician who you no longer want to work with due to a No Call No Show or other reason, start by follow the remove clinician flow.
- Go to the schedule section
- Open the scheduled job that you want to remove the clinician from (you may need to change the job status filter in the upper right corner to find your scheduled shifts)
- Click the “remove clinician” button as seen in the image below
*NOTE* removing a clinician will repost the shift into the Nursa App and begin looking for a replacement. Canceling the shift will both remove the clinician and cancel the shift all together.
- Select your reason for removing the clinician
- If you want to ban the clinician from picking up future shifts, click “Prevent This Clinician From Requesting Shifts Here Again”
- Enter in any relevant notes and select “Remove and block now” to confirm and finalize this action
Ban a clinician from future shift visibility/requests after a completed shift
The second option for banning a clinician from your facility is available once a shift has been completed. During the shift report process, facilities have the opportunity to review each clinician that has worked in their building. Go here for a review of the shift report process and follow the outline below for further banning instructions.
- Leave a star rating for the clinician - If the clinician is given a one-star rating, the option to prevent the clinician from seeing/requesting shifts at your facility will appear
- Select "We don't want this clinician again" if you wish to ban a clinician from seeing/requesting future shifts at your facility
*NOTE* If you had a poor experience, but wish to give them a second change, you may leave a one-star review and continue forward by clicking "confirm" and the clinician will still have the ability to request and work at your building if you so choose.
- Enter in any relevant notes and select “Remove and block now” to confirm and finalize this action
