Step 1. Open the Nursa App
Step 2. Tap Menu in the top left corner
Step 3. Select schedule
Step 4. Select the shift you want to cancel.
Step 5. once you are on the shift you would like to cancel, Scroll down and select "cancel shift".
Step 6. Type a message containing your reasoning behind canceling the shift.
Step 7. Check the box that says "yes I understand."
Step 8. Press "Cancel Shift".
After cancelling the shift make sure to reach out to the facility to let them know of your cancellation so they have time to find a replacement the more time you let them know in advance better!
When you cancel a shift this puts your account in a "freeze" state. Where you won't be able to schedule any shifts for the next two weeks. If you are in this frozen state but still have shifts scheduled, we expect you to show up and work those shifts you just can’t request new shifts for two weeks.

We have a committee that meets every Friday to discuss extenuating circumstances on cancellations/frozen accounts. They decide on accounts that stay frozen and which ones are unfrozen based on work history and cancellation rate.
**The committee will be the ones to decide if you will have your account unfrozen.**
