Below are step-by-step instructions on how to cancel a scheduled shift through the Nursa app. Be advised that Nursa has a strict cancellation policy and your account will be frozen for 14 days when you cancel a shift. Follow this link for more details on the Nursa Cancellation Policy.
Before you cancel a shift, you are encouraged to contact the facility to let them know of your situation. Contacting a facility directly does not account for cancelling through the Nursa app and it does not help you avoid a frozen account, but it does help us keep clear communication. As much notice as possible is best!
Lastly, we have a committee that meets every Friday to discuss extenuating circumstances on cancellations/Frozen Accounts. They will review your account - including past work history, reliability, and cancellation rate to determine if your account can be unfrozen early. This review does not guarantee that your account will be unfrozen early.
Step 1. Open the Nursa App
Step 2. Tap Menu in the top left corner
Step 3. Select schedule
Step 4. Select the shift you want to cancel
Step 5. Once you are on the shift you would like to cancel, scroll down and select "cancel shift"
Step 6. Type a message containing your reasoning behind canceling the shift
Step 7. Check the box that says "yes I understand"
Step 8. Press "Cancel Shift"
** You are still able and expected to work ALL other scheduled shifts when your account is frozen.**
