Lesson 5: Requesting Shifts – Nursa™

Requesting shifts is so easy, your baby could do it! In fact, sometimes they do, so be careful when your little one is playing with your mobile device!

To find open jobs, follow these steps:

Go to the drop down menu in the upper right corner
Select "Jobs"
Adjust the filters in the upper right corner to find jobs you're interested in

Note: Jobs are posted by facilities on a per diem basis and there may not be any open jobs in your area. Try clearing your filters and starting fresh to see more open shifts. The more filters you add, the fewer jobs may be available.
Tip: Turn your location settings on to view jobs closer to you!

Once you have found a job you are interested in, double check the shift date, time, license type, pay rate, and job instructions to ensure you're available.

Then hit the Request Job button in the bottom right corner of the screen and your request will immediately be sent to the facility to review.

Facilities manage their own shift requests. A request can be confirmed as quickly as 10 seconds or it may take a few days. You are always welcome and encouraged to contact the facility directly to inquire if a certain shift is still needed.

You should check your schedule often to see if a request has been scheduled.

Tips For Getting Scheduled

We recommend that you request 3-4 shifts for the date/time you want to work. This increases your chances of working because shifts often receive multiple requests from different clinicians and someone else may get scheduled instead of you.
When you get scheduled, your other requests for overlapping shifts are automatically removed to keep you from being double booked.

Removing A Request

If your plans change, you should remove your request by clicking the Remove Request button. This button is found by opening the job card the same way you did to make the initial request. There is no consequence for removing an unscheduled request. Once a shift has been scheduled you will be required to cancel your shift and your account will be frozen.
